Sabin Iqbal is an acclaimed Indian novelist, journalist, and literary curator whose work spans decades and disciplines. Known for his evocative storytelling and fearless journalism, Sabin’s writing dives deep into the complexities of identity, conflict, and society. His critically acclaimed novels, including The Cliffhangers and Shamal Days, have established him as a powerful voice in contemporary Indian literature.

As a journalist, Sabin has contributed to leading national and international publications, offering sharp insights on politics, culture, and human rights. He is also the Founding Director of the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters (MBIFL), one of India’s premier literary events, where he brings together thinkers and writers from across the world.
